Acknowledging the importance of grain bin safety, each year, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds signs an official proclamation, recognizing Grain Bin Safety Week to be observed the third week of February.

Nationwide is excited to announce these state proclamations because they represent a growing respect and awareness for the greater grain community. Since its inception in 2014, Grain Bin Safety Week has always been a champion for promoting grain safety and preventing needless tragedies. During a month when many farmers are planning for the upcoming season, this also serves as a great reminder to everyone for what’s at stake. With continued support and generosity from around the country, we can make grain bin accidents a thing of the past.

Several states impacted by the risks of grain handling and storage have issued proclamations to recognize Grain Bin Safety Week in their respective states:
  • Indiana
  • Iowa
  • Minnesota
  • Missouri
  • New York
  • North Dakota
  • Ohio
  • Pennsylvania
  • South Dakota
  • West Virginia
  • Wisconsin

Nationwide and our Grain Bin Safety Week partners appreciate the support of these states and their commitment to safe practices around grain handling and storage systems.
